If you find yourself wanting to come to the Congress but are unable to afford the cost please email us. We will be setting up scholarships as they are made available. We will also be offering a limited amount of free housing thanks to some of the men who live in the Washington DC vicinity opening their homes to conference participants who may need a place to stay. With a scholarship and free housing your primary responsibility will be to get yourself here and pay for your food.
Some members of the committee are recommending the use of priceline.com as a means to find inexpensive housing. They have used it before in other cities and found it saved them money. Priceline offers access to a wide variety of hotels from budget to considerably higher priced. It seems that the Days Inn in Silver Spring MD has rooms for about $80 a night double occupancy and is near a metro stop. Also, Connecticut Ave Days Inn is about 1 block from a metro and it closer in to town. As a less expensive alternative you might want to check out this page on the web which offers contact information about the Washingon Hostels that are available http://www.hostels.com/us.dc.html
